The Proper Stitch Now Open

The Proper Stitch at Carmel City Center, located on the plaza at 800 S. Rangeline Road, Suite 285 is now open! Founded and owned by the mother–daughter team Kathleen Dusing and her daughters Megan and Lauren Dusing, The Proper Stitch is the first store in Indiana dedicated entirely to needlepoint.

The Proper Stitch sets itself apart by offering a curated selection of the latest trending threads, modern hand-painted canvases, accessories, and exclusive Indiana-themed designs, all thoughtfully chosen to inspire both new and experienced stitchers. Every canvas in the shop is hand painted, ensuring exceptional quality and artistry.

Inside the shop, guests will find comfortable seating and a welcoming environment for visitors to stitch, socialize, and learn. The Proper Stitch will host a variety of events and classes, including: Sip & Stitch every Wednesday evening, beginner through advanced classes, including finishing classes instruction from a special guest teacher traveling regularly from Cincinnati.

The Proper Stitch is open:
Sundays from 12-4pm
Tuesday, Thursday – Saturday from 10am-4pm
Wednesdays from 12-8pm
