A Unique Shopping Destination
October 10, 2011
Those looking for unique items for the home and designer fashions and accessories can now find what they need right in Carmel City Center at Addendum Gallery and Uber Boutique.
Addendum Gallery celebrated its opening on Saturday, October 1st with a successful evening reception. During the event, representatives of Michael Aram and Sorrelli were on hand to assist attendees with their selections. Addendum Gallery specializes in hand-crafted art pieces, whimsical gifts, and jewelry. It also carries entertaining pieces by Julia Knight, Lafco Candles, which were featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things, and Cire Trudon Candles, which are produced by the oldest candle maker in the world, founded in France in 1642.
What differentiates Addendum from other stores is that there is a person behind every item in the store. Shane explained, “I most enjoy finding new items and learning the stories about each piece, the artist who created it and why it was created.”
Uber Boutique opened its Carmel City Center location on Saturday, October 8th. Uber Boutique is a lifestyle store with a mix of both home and fashion pieces. Its home collection includes a mix of vintage, reproduction and modern pieces with an eccentric flair. The clothing, which is described as stylish yet comfortable includes fashion lines Velvet, Michael Stars, Splendid, Language, Burning Torch, Michael Gonzales and Ella Moss, among others.
Uber is not your typical store as it is constantly changing. Co-owner Anne Branham said, “we want it to be your favorite store, whether you’re in the market for what we have or not. We want people to feel comfortable to stop in and become inspired by how things are displayed. The hope is that you are encouraged to try something different with your home or fashion.”
Don’t delay…be sure to check out these two new stores in Carmel City Center and stay tuned there’s much more to come next month.
