Spring is the perfect time to refresh your home, try something creative, and connect with others who love design and DIY. This season, 317Home is hosting a lineup of hands-on workshops designed to inspire creativity and help you learn new techniques in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
As an Annie Sloan Flagship Store located in Carmel City Center, 317Home is known for its beautiful selection of paints, tools, and home décor — and these workshops are the perfect opportunity to experience them firsthand while creating something uniquely your own.
March 24 – Decoupaging Bowls
10:30 AM | $60 | Limited to 6 guests
Turn ordinary bowls into beautiful works of art in this fun and creative class. Participants will learn how to paint and decoupage to transform simple pieces into stunning décor you’ll be proud to display. All materials are included, and with a small group of just six participants, you’ll get plenty of guidance along the way.
March 28 – Open Paint
10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | $85 | Limited to 4 guests
Have a small piece of furniture you’ve been wanting to update? This is your chance. Bring in a piece you can easily carry into the store — like a small side table — and spend the day painting alongside other creative makers.
The class begins with an overview of painting techniques and help with color selection if needed. From there, you’ll work independently while the instructor is available to jump in and help whenever you need it. All paints, waxes, lacquers, and brushes are provided, along with snacks and drinks. It’s also a great opportunity to try Annie Sloan’s top-notch brushes and products.
April 11 – Open Paint
10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | $85 | Limited to 4 guests
Another chance to join the popular Open Paint workshop. Bring a small furniture piece and spend the day learning painting techniques, experimenting with finishes, and creating something new with a group of like-minded creatives — affectionately called “Our People.” All materials, snacks, and drinks are included.
April 19 – Planter Bowls & Spring Floral Design
2:00 PM | Limited to 6 guests
Welcome the warmer season with a creative Sunday afternoon workshop. Participants will paint decorative bowls and design a fresh spring floral centerpiece — the perfect addition to your home as the weather turns sunny and bright. All materials are provided for this cheerful, seasonal project.
April 25 – Full Iron Orchid Designs Tutorial
10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | $85 | Limited to 6 guests
Curious about how to use Iron Orchid Designs products like stamps, transfers, moulds, and paint inlays? This hands-on class will walk you through each medium step-by-step.
While these tools can seem intimidating at first, this workshop will show you exactly how to use them and give you the chance to practice alongside the instructor. You’ll leave with new skills and plenty of creative inspiration for future projects.
