Dog Day Afternoon featuring Woofstock

What could be better for pet lovers than spending an entire afternoon with their beloved four-legged best friend?
On Saturday, August 25th the Humane Society of Hamilton County is inviting animal lovers, music lovers and their pets in celebrating the Fifth Annual Dog Day Afternoon featuring Woofstock on the South lawn of the Palladium (Carmel Center Green – where the Carmel Farmers Market takes place.)
Up to 100 vendors will be set up featuring pet products, jewelry and art, delicious food and more. The event activities will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. Tracy Forner, of Indy Style TV, will be emceeing leading off the Dog Day Afternoon featuring Woofstock activities which include:
- Over 100 vendors, food trucks, and the Detour Miller Lite Beer Tent
- “Parade of Paws” Dog Walk on the Monon Trail with registration at 2:30 p.m. and the walk staring at 3 p.m.
- Live music on the Woofstock Stage all day long – including The Jester Kings, 10th of Never, Whitney Erin and Naptown Boogie
- Kids activities from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Diana Dunn Century 21 Scheetz Kids
- Activity Tent including Silly Safari, face painting and more.
Although the event is open to the public, adults are asked to donate $5 to the Humane Society for Hamilton County for attendance. Kids 10 and under are free.
Located across the Monon from the Palladium, Carmel City Center is proud to be a pet friendly environment so before or during the event head up to check out all the retailers and get some free tasty treats for your dog!
Attention: Attendees of the event who bring their dogs are fully responsible for the behavior of their pets and will be required to sign an Event Registration and Release Form. All pets must be current on vaccinations and on-leash at all time.
Dog Day Afternoon featuring Woofstock is an annual fundraiser developed to help raise funds needed to care for the nearly 3,500 owner surrendered and stray animals that arrive at the Humane Society for Hamilton County each year. This event is made possible by VCA Animal Hospitals, the Lumina Foundation, Indy Style, 99.5 WZPL and My 107.9.
