June 28, 2012
For almost 25 years, CarmelFest has been bringing everyone in the community together for Carmel’s Independence Day celebration and this year is extra special because it marks the 175th Anniversary Carmel’s founding!
CarmelFest 2012 has something for all ages to enjoy with an incredible parade lineup, fireworks, tons of entertainment, the best of festival food, unique Marketplace booths and even some local featured restaurants.
Celebrations for the festival start at noon on July 3rd at Carmel Civic Square with free live musical entertainment that will last until 10:30 p.m. The excitement picks back up on July 4th at 8 a.m. with the 4.5 mile Freedom Run & Walk followed by the annual CarmelFest parade at 10:30 a.m. The live entertainment follows shortly after at Carmel Civic Square.
Leading this year’s parade as Grand Marshal will be Mayor Jim Brainard. It starts at the corner of AAA Way and Carmel Drive and ends at Carmel High School. The theme of the parade this year is Carmel’s 175th Anniversary.
